The Swedish singer and composer Iris Bergcrantz has been praised for her deeply expressive sensitivity and rich-toned voice. She has released four albums under her own name, all of which have received enthusiastic reviews. Young Dreams was nominated for a Danish Music Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year in 2020, and Trasighet och Fransar (2022) was nominated at the Manifest Gala as Jazz Album of the Year. That same year, she performed as a soloist on one of Sweden’s biggest music programs, Allsång på Skansen.

Most recently, Bergcrantz released Vi fanns förut, which was met with excellent reviews. As part of the tour, the band also performed live on TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.

Iris’ music draws on experimental pop, Swedish folk music, and classical impressionism within a jazz framework. With her crystal-clear vocals, she connects these genres in an eclectic and captivating universe.

Iris has performed on stages such as the Sydney Opera House (with Åkervinda), A-Trane in Berlin, the Rochester International Jazz Festival (New York State), the London A Cappella Festival, as well as across much of Europe. In 2019, she was nominated for a Swedish Grammy with the group Åkervinda, and in 2024 the group won a Danish Music Award.
