Albert Waidtløw Duo

Free admission

Albert Yde Waidtløw (b. 2001) picked up the guitar for the first time at the age of seven, when he began attending Kolding Music School. He studied there for seven years before moving to Copenhagen with his father, the well-known tenor saxophonist Claus Waidtløw. Shortly after the move, he developed an interest in jazz and began seeking out the many jam sessions around the capital. Albert was just 15 years old when he became an active participant in Copenhagen’s jam scene.
The following year, he was admitted to Skt. Annæ MGK, which he later replaced with studies at the renowned Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he began at the age of 18 and continues to study. At the conservatory, he has received instruction from some of the world’s leading and most respected jazz guitarists, including Peter Bernstein, Jesse van Ruller, and Martijn van Iterson.
